The Kootenay-Columbia Discovery Centre offers environmental education programs, events and tours at the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area (CVWMA). The CVWMA is a 17,000 acre wetland habitat that is internationally recognized as a wetland of importance (Ramsar Site) as well as an Important Bird Area of Canada. Educational initiatives include: school programs, summer nature camps, guided canoe and walking tours, and a variety of special events suitable for people of all ages. Join us seasonally from May-October for programs. Access to trail systems that meander through the wetland is possible year round. Viewing towers and boardwalks provide unique opportunities to explore this magical place.

Rent a tree. Experience the harvest! We are excited to share the experience of picking cherries and welcoming the community to our farm. We sell u-pick cherries by the tree, by the box and ship straight to your door.

Baillie-Grohmans premium award winning boutique wines are grown, handcrafted and bottled in small lots in the breathtaking Creston Valley in south-eastern British Columbia Canada. The Baillie-Grohman tasting room is open for tastings and sales from Easter till Thanksgiving every year. Fridays in July & August we have an love music in our pavilion until 8pm.

We tell great stories. We can explain how Creston got its wacky time zone. We can tell you about the steamship that became a tractor (sort of), the first airplane to land in Creston, and the teacher who refused to be fired. Speaking of “great” stories, there’s “The Great Railway Race” and the “Great Creston Bank Robbery.” And have you heard the one about the imaginary student in Grade Thirteen? Really, we’re not making this up. Why would we? Truth is so much better than fiction. We can even help you tell the greatest story of all: your own. So come on in.
